Quality Assurance Assessors – Tourism Inspections

About the role

The Quality Assurance Assessors will carry out on‑site inspections of tourism establishments across Namibia, ensuring compliance with national grading criteria and service excellence standards. The role supports a consistent, high‑quality visitor experience and contributes to the promotion of Namibia as a premier destination.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct on‑site inspections of hotels, lodges, guesthouses, B&Bs, conference venues and tourist vehicles, applying official grading criteria and checking cleanliness, safety, amenities, customer service and statutory documentation.
• Prepare detailed written reports with scores, recommendations and photographic evidence, and submit them to the Quality Assurance Manager for validation.
• Provide verbal debriefs and advisory guidance to establishment managers on best practices, licensing requirements and quality improvements.
• Monitor industry trends, contribute to the development of grading tools and participate in calibration workshops to ensure consistent assessment standards.

Required profile

• NQA Level 5 or equivalent tertiary qualification in hospitality, tourism or business management.
• Minimum three years’ experience in tourism, hospitality or related business management, with at least two years of assessment experience.
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail and objective decision‑making.
• Full, current driver’s licence class BE.

Required skills

• Computer literacy.
• Proficiency with electronic applications for data collection and reporting.
