About the role
The Process & Control Improvement Specialist will partner with management and stakeholders to strengthen internal controls, enhance business processes, and embed a culture of continuous improvement across Namibia Breweries Limited. This role focuses on operational efficiency, compliance with internal policies, and supporting risk management and assurance activities.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and test the effectiveness of internal controls, ensuring timely remediation of gaps.
- Design, implement, and maintain business processes and controls aligned with global standards.
- Identify and escalate deviations from standard processes and minimum control requirements.
- Drive continuous process improvement initiatives to optimise efficiency and effectiveness.
- Promote a culture of innovation, benchmarking, and capability building through training.
- Support risk identification, assessment, and mitigation activities across the organisation.
- Strengthen fraud prevention practices and assist with investigations when required.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
- Support internal and external audit processes, including planning, execution, and closure of findings.
- Track and report on performance metrics related to controls, risks, and process improvements.
Required profile
- Recognised Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in internal control, audit, risk management or process improvement, preferably in a complex or regulated environment.
- Professional certifications such as CIA, CA, Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), PMP or Prince2 are an advantage.
- Proven ability to analyse processes, identify gaps and implement improvements.
- Strong understanding of governance, compliance and risk frameworks.
- Driving licence.
Required skills
- Advanced Excel and data analysis capability.
- Six Sigma methodology (Green/Black Belt).
- Project management knowledge (PMP or Prince2).
