Operations Support Engineer – Data Warehousing & IT Operations

About the role

The Operations Support Engineer will act as custodian of MSTI data and support the development, operation, security and continuous improvement of data warehousing and reporting capabilities. The role also provides IT operations monitoring, end‑user support and infrastructure management for the MSTI business.

Key responsibilities

• IT Operations Monitoring of all MSTI infrastructure as part of the I&O team.
• End‑User Support for MSTI business, including telephony, connectivity and Microsoft operations.
• Security and user management for core applications, including AD spot checks and audit assistance.
• Infrastructure maintenance and monitoring, including LAN/WAN support and asset register updates.
• Data warehousing and custodianship: design, implement, monitor data warehouse, ETL/ELT processes, data quality, metadata, access controls, retention and reporting support.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of IT experience in complex, geographically distributed environments.
• Formal 3‑4 year IT qualification (e.g., Computer Science, MIS) with certifications such as MCSE/MCITP, O365, Azure.
• Practical experience with Microsoft server technologies (Windows Server 2008‑2019, Exchange 2016‑2019, AD, DNS, DHCP, RDS, DFS).
• Experience with relational databases, SQL, data modelling, ETL/ELT and data warehouse concepts.
• Strong problem‑solving, planning, time‑management and documentation skills.
