About the role
Old Mutual is seeking a Credit Monitoring Officer to ensure that loan applications and credit approvals adhere to internal policies and regulatory standards. The role involves processing applications, monitoring queues, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to maintain robust credit controls.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure credit approvals comply with the Credit Policy and Financial Crime Guidelines.
- Process loan applications concurrently and conduct prompt reviews.
- Monitor loan applications in the assessment queue and maintain effective loan controls.
- Perform sanction screening and employment verification for individual clients.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and ensure service delivery through personal effort.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve results and uphold compliance standards.
Required profile
- Grade 12 with at least 25 points; tertiary education is an advantage.
- 2–3 years of banking and credit experience.
- Computer literate with strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Above‑average numerical ability, excellent time‑management, and attention to detail.
- Strong team player who can work independently.
