Specialist, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is seeking a Specialist in Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) to provide technical support for family planning and comprehensive abortion care programs in humanitarian settings. Reporting to the Senior Specialist, SRHR, you will lead day‑to‑day oversight of strategic projects such as the Family Planning Impact Lab in South Sudan and Somalia.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate multidisciplinary research, user‑centered design, and SRH technical teams for the Impact Lab.
• Oversee program pilots, iterative adaptations, and ensure timely delivery with partners and donors.
• Monitor implementation indicators, drive course corrections, and report on project quality.
• Identify gaps and provide technical assistance to scale family planning across IRC country programs.
• Develop, disseminate, and support training materials, program tools, evidence briefs, and measurement frameworks.

Required profile

• Experience in sexual and reproductive health, especially family planning and comprehensive abortion care, within humanitarian or fragile contexts.
• Proven ability to lead technical oversight of multi‑country projects and coordinate with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills for monitoring indicators and guiding program adjustments.
• Capacity to develop and deliver training materials and evidence‑based tools.
