Senior Land Quality & Remediation Consultant

About the role

SLR is seeking an experienced Senior Consultant to lead its Land Quality & Remediation practice in Windhoek. You will work with a multidisciplinary team delivering soil and water services to clients across mining, energy, industry, power and infrastructure sectors in Southern Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and grow land quality and remediation service offerings for Namibian and Southern African clients.
• Drive marketing and business development activities to expand the client base.
• Provide strategic and technical consulting advice on contaminated site assessments, environmental liability management and remediation projects.
• Mentor and train junior staff, fostering technical expertise and innovation.
• Act as the technical focal point ensuring high‑quality deliverables such as proposals, site work, reports and presentations.

Required profile

• Proven senior consulting experience in environmental or land remediation projects.
• Strong client‑service, management and business‑development capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills with clients, regulators and subcontractors.
• Solid understanding of risk‑based environmental management and relevant contaminated land and waste legislation.
