Regional Operations Manager

About the role

The Regional Operations Manager will lead a network of warehouses and distribution centres across the assigned region, ensuring operational efficiency, service excellence and profitability. You will be accountable for driving performance, optimising processes and delivering a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of multiple warehouses, including receiving, storage, order fulfilment, dispatch, returns and reverse logistics.
• Develop and execute regional operational strategies aligned with corporate goals, monitor budgets, control costs and allocate resources.
• Track and report on KPIs such as OTIF, turnaround times, cost per unit and productivity, identifying improvement opportunities.
• Lead, coach and develop Warehouse Managers and operational staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, labour legislation and customer service level agreements.
• Manage risk by implementing contingency plans and overseeing quality standards.
• Collaborate with internal functions (sales, procurement, transport, finance) and external service providers to meet stakeholder expectations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Management or related field (post‑graduate qualification advantageous).
• 7–10 years of experience in warehouse/distribution centre management, with at least 3–5 years in a regional or multi‑site leadership role.
• Proven track record of managing high‑volume, fast‑paced warehouse operations.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost management and reporting.

Required skills

• Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) proficiency.
