Prospect Research & Management Officer

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is seeking an Officer to lead prospect research and management efforts. This role supports fundraising by identifying, evaluating, and profiling high‑net‑worth donors in the United States, helping to secure vital resources for humanitarian programs.

Key responsibilities

• Create confidential biographical, financial, and due‑diligence profiles on US‑based high‑net‑worth individual donors using diverse online and electronic sources.
• Build and maintain robust donor pipelines by identifying, rating, and qualifying prospects capable of significant financial support.
• Collaborate with frontline fundraising teams to develop strategic recommendations that increase donor engagement and support for IRC programs.
• Integrate data‑driven and qualitative analyses into prospect management tactics, opportunity development, and revenue maximization.
• Implement and improve tools and methods for comprehensive prospect research, including relationship mapping, analytics, and performance metrics.
• Manage research resources such as CRM systems, subscription databases, and media tools to respond to specific funding opportunities.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in prospect research, donor profiling, or related fundraising analysis.
• Ability to synthesize large data sets and deliver high‑quality research reports to senior staff and fundraisers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting findings to internal and external stakeholders.
