PRIME Caseworker (Refugee Mobility & Empowerment)

About the role

The PRIME Caseworker supports vulnerable refugee clients through the IRC’s PRIME program, helping them overcome barriers to self‑sufficiency. This role focuses on health‑related needs and broader social integration for individuals and families who have experienced displacement, trauma, or discrimination.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the ICM team to identify additional healthcare and social service needs for vulnerable clients.
• Attend internal and partner meetings as assigned to coordinate service delivery.
• Assist clients in navigating healthcare systems, public benefits, educational institutions, and other public services, including scheduling and attending appointments.
• Develop and distribute self‑sufficiency guides tailored to each client’s goals.
• Help clients select appropriate community resources, schedule initial appointments, and build confidence in managing their own care.
• Conduct regular outreach to healthcare providers and social service agencies to address service barriers and identify resources.

Required profile

• Experience providing case management to refugee households, survivors of domestic or gender‑based violence, LGBTQ+ individuals, older adults, youth, and other vulnerable groups.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a strengths‑based, client‑centered manner.
• Strong collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
• Capacity to develop individualized service plans and self‑sufficiency guides.
