Logistics Supervisor – Waste Management

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Logistics Supervisor to lead the transportation, storage and distribution of waste materials for Rent‑A‑Drum Namibia in Windhoek. The role involves planning daily trips, managing drivers and assistants, and ensuring compliance with company procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and book all trips for the following day using the Zula device and the Logistics Workflow Chart.
• Monitor trip execution, ensure no work is left pending, and update the Zula device with outstanding trips.
• Handle ad‑hoc bookings, prioritize vehicle allocation, and obtain supervisor approval for any changes.
• Communicate with clients and office staff via telephone/email to coordinate operational activities.
• Record call queries and recommend operational improvements for monthly logistics mapping.
• Supervise drivers and assistants, enforce company policies, and report system deviations to the Technical and Surveillance Managers.
• Oversee the Security Tracking System, report offline vehicles, and ensure timely corrective actions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in logistics or supply‑chain management, preferably in waste‑management or similar environments.
• Strong organizational and leadership abilities to manage a team of drivers and assistants.
• Excellent communication skills for client and internal coordination.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain accurate records.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Zula device for trip planning and booking.
• Familiarity with a Security Tracking System for vehicle monitoring.
