About the role
The University of Namibia (UNAM) Veterinary Academic Hospital is recruiting a Junior Clinician for its outpatients' unit. The clinician attends companion and production animal cases and takes part in the hospital's clinical programmes.
Key responsibilities
- Attend to companion and production animal clinical cases (medical and surgical) in the outpatients' unit of the UNAM Veterinary Academic Hospital.
- Participate in the clinical programmes of the Veterinary Academic Hospital.
- Attend student rounds and seminars, take part in student assessment and clinical rotations.
- Give selected lectures and practicals.
- Complete a relevant Master's degree within 5 years.
Required profile
- Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine or equivalent.
- Unconditional registration with the Namibian Veterinary Council.
- Up to 5 years of experience in companion and production animal medicine and surgery is an advantage.
- Willingness to join the after-hours roster and attend emergency cases at night and on weekends.
