ICM Caseworker

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is seeking an Intensive Case Management (ICM) Caseworker to provide strengths‑based, client‑centered support to vulnerable refugees, asylees and other ORR‑eligible populations. The role focuses on developing individualized self‑sufficiency plans, monitoring progress, and linking clients to health, social and vocational services.

Key responsibilities

• Determine client eligibility for ICM programming and conduct comprehensive intake assessments.
• Develop SMART self‑sufficiency plans tailored to each client’s needs and preferences.
• Evaluate client progress semi‑annually, adjust goals, and identify new service requirements.
• Assist clients in navigating healthcare, social services, and benefit applications, including scheduling appointments.
• Conduct community outreach and maintain a robust network of service providers, refugee coordinators and health officials.
• Provide extended orientation on topics such as women’s health, transportation systems, and local healthcare navigation.

Required profile

• Passionate, solutions‑driven individual with a commitment to humanitarian impact.
• Experience working with refugees, survivors of gender‑based violence, LGBTQ+ clients, or other vulnerable populations.
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with clients, colleagues and external partners.
• Ability to conduct assessments, develop plans, and evaluate outcomes in accordance with program requirements.
