Head of Procurement Transformation

About the role

The Head of Procurement Transformation will lead Nedbank Group's procurement transformation agenda, ensuring alignment with the overall Nedbank strategy and national transformation imperatives. This senior role drives supplier development, risk management, and strategic partnerships to enhance profitability and support B‑BBEE objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the Group Procurement Transformation strategy in line with corporate and national goals.
• Leverage Enterprise Supplier Development (ESD) initiatives to increase spend with B‑BBEE and SME suppliers.
• Coordinate product mix and servicing support for transformed suppliers across banking lines.
• Identify and promote transformation innovation and market‑access opportunities for suppliers.
• Manage procurement risk and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
• Build and maintain trust‑based relationships with senior executives, business units, and supplier directors.
• Collaborate with Group Finance and Business Services to align procurement objectives.
• Represent Nedbank on industry committees and promote common transformation approaches.
• Develop stakeholder management plans and act as an advocate for Nedbank products with suppliers.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in procurement, vendor management, or transformation functions.
• Strong stakeholder management and conflict‑resolution skills.
• Deep understanding of B‑BBEE, SME development, and financial services procurement.
• Ability to influence cross‑functional teams and drive strategic initiatives.
