French Teachers (Group, Private and Conversation Classes)

About the role

The Franco-Namibian Cultural Centre, described as the cultural hub of the Namibian capital, is recruiting two French teachers to strengthen its teaching team. The centre offers group, private and conversation classes for all ages (pre-primary to adults) and all levels (A1 to C2), in person and/or online.

Key responsibilities

• Teach French as a Foreign Language and/or French for Specific Purposes (e.g. for defence forces, diplomats, tourism).
• Take part in the three DELF sessions held each year, including oral examinations, supervision and correction.

Required profile

• Degree in teaching French as a Foreign Language.
• Proven experience teaching French as a foreign language and/or French for Specific Purposes.
• DELF / DALF / TCF habilitation.
• Knowledge of the CECRL and the DELF/DALF exams.
• Fluent French (at least B2, assessed by an official exam) and English.

Required skills

• Dynamic, autonomous and responsible, with good interpersonal and intercultural skills.
• Good command of teaching tools adapted to the target audience and proven pedagogical skills.
