Freight Controller (Multiple Positions) – Tsumeb

About the role

We are seeking four Freight Controllers to join our depot team in Tsumeb. Reporting to the Depot Manager, you will play a key role in handling parcel consignments, ensuring accurate processing and safe loading of freight.

Key responsibilities

• Sort, pick, verify and pack consignments.
• Scan consignments and apply barcode labels.
• Load and unload vehicles efficiently, reporting any damages or anomalies.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Compare waybills and client documentation with loaded or delivered freight.
• Follow health, safety and security procedures, including inspections and quality checks.
• Perform other duties related to freight control as required.

Required profile

• Valid Grade 10/12 certificate.
• 1‑2 years of relevant experience is an advantage.
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office.
• Proficiency in English and Afrikaans.
• Willingness to work overtime and shift patterns.
• Physically fit to handle large and heavy freight.
• Attention to detail, reliability and dependability.
• Good communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Police clearance certificate (issued within the last 3 months) and Namibian citizenship.
