Flatbed/Interlink National Driver – Short Haul (Walvis Bay)

About the role

Wesbank Transport, a division of FP du Toit Transport, is seeking a reliable Flatbed/Interlink driver for short‑haul operations from its Walvis Bay depot. The driver will be responsible for transporting loads across Namibia, ensuring timely delivery and accurate documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Transport loads to various customers within Namibia and submit complete documentation on return.
• Record distance travelled, fuel consumption, waybill numbers and cargo on the trip sheet.
• Complete MDC logbook and attach all receipts to the trip sheet.
• Load and unload cargo, and ensure safe handling of goods during transport.
• Conduct pre‑trip inspections and perform emergency roadside repairs when needed.
• Maintain correct documentation before departure and on return, and assist with basic fault finding during breakdowns.

Required profile

• Namibian citizen with a valid Code CE driver’s licence and PDP (Dangerous Goods) certification.
• Grade 12 education and at least five years of relevant transport experience.
• Recent police clearance (no older than three months) and no criminal record.
• Hazchem certification is an advantage.
• Excellent driving, interpersonal and communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
• Ability to work long distances, long hours, and demonstrate high attention to detail and reliability.
