About the role
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a Summer 2026 Financial Education Capabilities Intern to support its Financial Capability (FinCap) program. The intern will help clients achieve financial independence through coaching, counseling, and workshops, with a focus on women’s financial empowerment.
Key responsibilities
- Reach out to potential clients to explain IRC financial services and products.
- Assess client needs, develop short‑term and long‑term financial goals, and enroll them in appropriate programming.
- Assist financial coaches with scheduling, client meetings, and workshop logistics.
- Facilitate financial literacy workshops for clients.
- Lead gender‑focused workshops to increase women’s participation in financial programs.
- Collaborate with colleagues and maintain effective relationships.
- Adhere to IRC policies on confidentiality and client privacy.
- Perform other duties as identified by IRC staff.
Required profile
- Self‑motivated and able to work independently.
- Strong ability to collaborate with team members.
