Finance Controller

About the role

The Finance Controller will provide national management accounting support and commercial insight for Vector's integrated, temperature‑controlled supply chain in Namibia. This fixed‑term role involves budgeting, monthly reporting, cost control and stock management to drive efficiency and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the Logistics Manager to identify growth opportunities in the local market and present them to the regional team.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure delivery of integrated supply‑chain benefits.
• Manage ad‑hoc projects assigned by the Regional Financial Manager.
• Assist with HACCP and Health & Safety administration.
• Provide internal audit support and ensure compliance with Vector policies and procedures.
• Maintain disaster recovery policies, procedures and sustainability registers.
• Ensure adherence to local tax structures.
• Compile monthly performance commentary and conduct cost variance analysis.
• Monitor capacity utilisation of major assets and advise senior management on capex or lease requirements.
• Prepare month‑end reports and presentations for leadership and Exco meetings.
• Lead the annual budgeting process, meeting agreed deadlines.
• Analyse costs against budget/forecast, identify variances and propose cost‑saving actions.
• Oversee stocktake, investigate discrepancies and ensure accurate posting in SAP.
