Early Education Navigator

About the role

The Early Education Navigator will lead initiatives that expand newcomer families' access to early education and childcare resources. Working closely with the Early Childcare Specialist and community partners, this role supports families with children aged 0‑5 by conducting needs assessments, creating service plans, and coordinating referrals.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver early education workshops and activities aligned with program design.
• Conduct outreach to immigrant and refugee families, focusing on newly arrived Afghan families.
• Provide orientation, enrollment assistance, referrals, follow‑ups, and informational materials.
• Connect families to high‑quality early care and education programs and assist with registration.
• Assess family needs for children 0‑5, develop service plans, coach families toward goals, and advocate on their behalf.
• Link families with community resources such as early childhood education, childcare, in‑home providers, and parenting support.
• Maintain a caseload of families, ensuring high‑quality service delivery in collaboration with the Early Education Coordinator.
• Document service delivery, keep accurate case notes, and manage data in compliance with IRC standards and contractual obligations.
• Contribute to internal and external program reporting.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in early education, social work, or a related field (preferred).
• Experience working with immigrant and refugee families, particularly newly arrived Afghan families.
