Construction Project Manager – Solar PV

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead the delivery of utility‑scale Solar PV projects across the SADC region. The role involves hands‑on site leadership, coordination of multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all on‑site construction activities from mobilisation through commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, engineering, procurement, and project stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with HSQE requirements, contractual obligations, and statutory regulations.
• Monitor project progress, resource utilisation, costs, and subcontractor performance.
• Oversee site reporting, risk mitigation, testing, commissioning, and final handover.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Renewable Energy Engineering.
• Minimum 3–5 years of construction experience, including at least 4 years in a site‑based management role.
• Proven track record delivering utility‑scale Solar PV projects.
• Strong understanding of EPC execution in the renewable energy sector.
• Experience in rural African environments is advantageous.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification and Solar PV certifications are a plus.
