Construction Manager – Site Execution Leader

About the role

The Construction Manager leads on‑site execution of large infrastructure projects, ensuring daily production targets are met safely and to specification. This role is the frontline leader who drives the "push" on remote sites across Southern Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Drive production and achieve daily milestones.
• Oversee technical execution and maintain quality control.
• Lead site health, safety and environmental (HSE) performance.
• Manage site administration and maintain accurate records.
• Coordinate labour, community relations and on‑site resources.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Valid Safety Management Training (e.g., SAMTRAC) and specialised training in earthworks or concrete technology.
• 12–15 years total experience in bridge, road and water construction, with at least 6 years as a Site Agent or Project Manager on projects valued at R200M+.
• Proven experience living and working on remote Southern African sites.

Required skills

• Deep understanding of resource outputs and first‑principles planning.
• Expert ability to read and interpret complex civil and structural drawings.
• Basic proficiency with CCS (Candy) budgeting software.
• Use of MS Project for short‑term scheduling.
• Ability to operate or verify levels and basic survey equipment.
