Commissioned Financial Advisor

About the role

Old Mutual is seeking a Commissioned Financial Advisor to provide tailored advice on a range of financial products to an allocated market. The role is individually accountable for achieving sales results and delivering high‑quality customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver professional advice on designated financial products and identify opportunities for new business and client retention.
• Process client cases, resolve complex queries and investigate customer problems to ensure satisfactory outcomes.
• Analyse customer needs, prepare customised presentations and gather information to assess interest levels.
• Maintain accurate records in the CRM system, schedule follow‑up actions and develop call plans to support retention and business development.
• Develop and execute relationship‑management plans for prospective accounts, building contacts with decision‑makers and influencers.
• Monitor sales and market data for the assigned geographic region to identify growth opportunities.
• Represent Old Mutual at sector events, gather market intelligence and enhance the organisation’s visibility.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory codes and obtain necessary authorisations for procedural exceptions.
