Chef - Full-Time On-Site

About the role

A full-time, on-site Chef position based in Windhoek. The chef plans menus, prepares and cooks a variety of dishes and ensures consistent food quality and presentation according to established standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate food preparation
• Manage inventory and maintain a clean, safe and compliant kitchen environment
• Monitor portion control, food costs and waste
• Collaborate with management to adjust menus and specials based on seasonality and guest feedback
• Take part in service, execute orders on time and communicate with front-of-house teams

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Chef or in a similar senior kitchen role in hotels or restaurants
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Relevant culinary certification, diploma or formal training preferred

Required skills

• Strong culinary skills: menu planning, cooking techniques and food presentation
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards and kitchen sanitation
• Experience managing kitchen operations, inventory and cost control
• Ability to lead and train kitchen staff and work under pressure during peak service
