Business Unit Marketing Manager (OMAO)

About the role

Old Mutual is seeking a Business Unit Marketing Manager (OMAO) to lead the development and execution of marketing strategies across a defined product line. The role combines market analysis, campaign management, brand positioning, and product lifecycle oversight to drive growth in the Namibian market.

Key responsibilities

• Scan micro and macro market trends to create comprehensive marketing plans.
• Implement marketing strategies and campaigns, negotiating service‑level agreements to ensure value for money.
• Oversee a specific area, product, or service within the broader marketing strategy, managing development and delivery.
• Lead brand positioning initiatives and contribute ideas to brand plans.
• Manage the full product lifecycle, staying abreast of market trends to maintain competitive positioning.
• Collect and synthesize performance metrics, conducting reviews to identify improvements.
• Provide specialist advice on policies, resolve complex queries, and support business decisions.
• Manage and report on team performance, set objectives, and take corrective actions as needed.
• Deliver budgeting responsibilities and conduct analyses on budget progress.
• Identify development needs within the team and deliver training or coaching.

Required profile

• Namibian citizenship.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Management, Commerce or a related field.
• 6‑8 years of relevant experience in marketing, business development or distribution.
• At least 5 years of managerial experience.
