Business Development Officer

About the role

As a Business Development Officer at FNB, you will support the Network Management team by driving client interactions, promoting WesBank asset finance products, and building strong relationships with dealers, brokers and other intermediaries. You will play a key part in expanding our market share and ensuring a seamless customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Market all WesBank asset finance facilities and products to existing and potential customers, including vehicle dealerships, brokers and fleet owners.
• Build and maintain excellent relationships with clients, intermediaries and internal stakeholders to identify growth opportunities.
• Interview clients to understand their financial needs, assess creditworthiness and prepare proposals for approval.
• Prepare and submit accurate credit applications in line with policy, manage contracting and ensure timely payments.
• Canvass new prospects, research market entrants and develop cross‑selling opportunities.
• Maintain high standards of customer experience, brand representation and accurate CRM, pipeline and activity reporting.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification or diploma; a degree is preferred.
• 2‑4 years of experience in asset finance, vehicle finance, commercial banking sales, business development or relationship management.
• Proven experience working with dealerships, intermediaries or brokers and handling credit applications.
• Exposure to sales targets, pipeline management and portfolio growth.
