Area Marketer

About the role

The Area Marketer will oversee merchandising activities across a designated geographic region, ensuring that perishable stock is available, correctly displayed and rotated to minimise waste. This role supports sales growth, brand visibility and operational compliance for DP World’s FMCG portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor the merchandising team to maintain on‑shelf availability of the right quantity and quality of stock.
• Ensure compliance with store merchandising policies and rotate stock to avoid expired returns.
• Place replenishment orders with store buyers and manage claim processes and documentation.
• Collaborate with other departments and support company events, including occasional weekend or overtime work.
• Report on business administration, sales performance and opportunities for improvement.
• Achieve sales targets, expand the customer base and promote perishable food products in the assigned region.
• Identify and communicate any safety or environmental risks that could affect operations.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 education; additional sales or marketing qualifications are advantageous.
• Valid Code 8 driver’s licence.
• Namibian citizenship or permanent residence.
• Eligibility to work in Namibia.

Required skills

• Brand management experience in FMCG, particularly perishable goods.
• Project management experience.
• Proven sales track record and experience with B2B online portal sales.
• Operational hospitality experience.
