Accounts Receivable Specialist (Part‑time, Hybrid)

About the role

We are looking for a part‑time Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team in Keetmanshoop. The role combines on‑site work with remote days, allowing you to manage customer accounts and support cash flow while enjoying a flexible hybrid schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Manage customer accounts, issue and track invoices, and monitor outstanding balances.
• Post payments, reconcile accounts, and support month‑end closing activities.
• Follow up on overdue invoices, conduct courteous debt‑collection outreach, and negotiate payment arrangements.
• Communicate with clients to resolve billing discrepancies and answer account‑related inquiries.
• Prepare regular receivables reports and maintain accurate financial records.

Required profile

• Strong analytical ability to review account data and identify discrepancies.
• Practical knowledge of finance and accounting principles related to accounts receivable.
• Effective communication skills for client and internal interactions.
• Experience with debt‑collection processes and invoicing accuracy.
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines.
• Previous experience in accounts receivable, credit control, or a similar finance role is preferred.
• Relevant coursework or qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is an advantage.
