About the role
The Account Specialist will act as the primary liaison between Vector and its principal customers, ensuring service levels, performance data and cost trends are accurately captured and analysed. This role supports profitability optimisation and joint‑efficiency projects across the supply chain.
Key responsibilities
- Interact with customer departments to resolve day‑to‑day operational queries.
- Coordinate with Vector’s Operations, Supply Chain, Finance and Administration teams.
- Analyse service level performance, over‑stocking, sales trends and SKU performance.
- Prepare and present regular performance reports and business review materials.
- Manage product take‑ons and exits, monitor risky expiry stocks and slow‑moving SKUs.
- Conduct competitive market research and contribute to tactical projects (e.g., vehicle turnaround times, inbound service improvements).
- Identify efficiency opportunities and joint projects to enhance customer and Vector profitability.
Required profile
- Experience in account management or customer‑facing roles within supply chain or sales environments.
- Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret volume, value and performance data.
- Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
- Detail‑oriented and capable of managing multiple reporting cycles.
