Workforce Assistant Intern

About the role

The Workforce Assistant Intern will support SLB’s workforce planning function for field personnel, helping to maintain an accurate short‑ to medium‑term workforce plan for engineers, specialists and operators. Working under the guidance of the Workforce Coordinator, the intern will gain hands‑on experience with planning tools, competency tracking and resource allocation.

Key responsibilities

• Track job start and end dates to aid personnel scheduling and mobilization.
• Assist in reviewing job requirements and workforce allocation together with coordinators and PSD management.
• Enter employee assignments into planning systems, ensuring data accuracy.
• Validate that assigned staff meet basic competency criteria.
• Monitor workforce availability and flag imbalances to the coordinator or planner.
• Help coordinate employee schedules, including days off, rotations and leave.
• Support monitoring of crew size and composition for specific areas.
• Gather information for short‑term or high‑priority risk assessments.
• Prepare contingency plans for workforce coverage under supervision.
• Contribute to cross‑functional efforts to improve planning efficiency and resource utilization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Demonstrated adaptability and ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
