Trainee Financial Advisor

About the role

Momentum Metripolitan Namibia is seeking a motivated Trainee Financial Advisor to join its sales team. The role focuses on attracting, acquiring and retaining clients by offering tailored financial products and after‑sales support, contributing to market share growth and long‑term business viability.

Key responsibilities

• Engage prospective clients, presenting product features and benefits aligned with their financial wellness needs.
• Conduct affordability analyses and advise on tax and legal implications to help clients achieve their financial goals.
• Accurately capture client data, actions and sales in the system and complete all administrative and reporting tasks within set deadlines.
• Meet production, quality and conversion targets while adhering to compliance and legislative requirements.
• Investigate client queries, provide timely feedback, and escalate issues to relevant departments when necessary.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience in a financial advice role (essential).
• 1‑3 years of experience in the financial services industry (desirable).
• Bachelor’s degree in Financial Planning, Business, Finance, Economics or equivalent.
• Certificate of proficiency in Insurance or equivalent qualification.
• Relevant legislative/regulatory exams or certifications, such as Certified Financial Planner (CFP) registration.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, planning and influencing abilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the financial services industry.
• Understanding of relevant financial legislation and regulatory compliance.
