Team Leader: Financial Changes

About the role
Lead a small to medium‑sized team of advisors to manage end‑to‑end financial servicing and change journeys across assigned products. You will design and continuously improve customer and adviser processes, ensuring they are simple, efficient, compliant and customer‑centric.
Key responsibilities
- Communicate the local action plan, align it with organisational strategy and motivate the team to achieve business goals.
- Develop and implement relationship‑management plans for existing accounts, gathering feedback and driving service improvements.
- Identify and present complex financial products that meet customer needs, securing agreements and managing concessions.
- Create sales opportunities through referrals, trade shows and targeted campaigns.
- Monitor team performance, allocate work, conduct appraisals and take corrective actions to ensure quality and timeliness.
- Provide operational support, act as first‑line supervisor for transactional areas and ensure adherence to SOPs.
- Track budgets, report variances and support financial governance.
- Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives using Agile, Lean and Six Sigma methods, driving automation and Straight‑Through Processing.
- Analyse operational data to identify root causes of service failures and implement corrective actions.
- Coach and develop team members, manage capacity, resolve escalations and ensure compliance with AML, FATCA and local regulations.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Operations Management or related field.
- 5–8 years’ experience in financial services operations, policy servicing or insurance administration.
- Minimum 3 years leading operational teams.
- Proven experience managing financial servicing or policy administration processes.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a track record of using KPI reporting to drive outcomes.
- Sound understanding of risk, governance and compliance requirements, including AML and FATCA.
- Agile, Lean, Six Sigma or Project Management certification is advantageous.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
