Specialist Auditor Data Analytics

About the role

The Specialist Auditor Data Analytics will join FirstRand Namibia Group Internal Audit to apply data‑driven techniques to internal audit engagements. You will help ensure governance, risk management and control effectiveness across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct preliminary business understanding and define audit scope.
• Draft engagement letters, risk‑based work programmes and execute audits in line with IIA standards.
• Extract, validate and analyse data from multiple systems using advanced analytics tools.
• Identify patterns, trends and anomalies to uncover risks and control weaknesses.
• Build and maintain scripts, dashboards and data models for audit purposes.
• Develop findings, perform root‑cause analysis, agree action plans and issue audit reports.
• Support continuous monitoring initiatives and mentor team members on analytics tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science or a related field.
• Experience performing internal audit engagements with a focus on data analytics.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to communicate insights effectively.
