Space Market, Innovation & Investment Expert

About the role

We are seeking a highly qualified Non‑Key Expert to support the Africa‑EU Space Partnership Programme. The role focuses on space and geospatial market development, innovation, entrepreneurship, commercialisation, and investment readiness across African and European ecosystems.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and develop space and geospatial markets in Africa and the EU.
• Design and implement innovation instruments, incubation and acceleration programmes.
• Support commercialisation and investment readiness of space‑related ventures.
• Facilitate access to finance and private‑sector engagement for space projects.
• Conduct market studies and provide advisory services on investment opportunities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in economics, business administration, engineering, innovation management or a related field.
• Excellent command of English; working knowledge of French or Portuguese is an asset.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in market analysis, innovation, entrepreneurship, business development or investment advisory in technology sectors.
• At least 4 years of experience working on space or geospatial markets, including market studies, innovation tools, incubation/acceleration, and investment readiness.
• Knowledge of African space markets and investment ecosystems is a plus.
