Senior Data Scientist

About the role

Arid People Solutions, a leading international talent acquisition firm, is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to develop and deploy production‑ready machine learning models that drive business value across acquisition, retention, risk and operational use cases.

Key responsibilities

• Build production‑ready machine learning models supporting PPB and digital use cases.
• Deploy reusable business features within the Databricks Enterprise Feature Store.
• Develop customer decisioning models for acquisition, retention, engagement and cross‑sell strategies.
• Create risk and operational models to improve decision quality and business performance.
• Maintain feature libraries, model documentation and governance artefacts.
• Provide analytical insights and recommendations to business stakeholders.
• Deliver measurable business value from deployed machine learning and AI solutions.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematical Statistics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Econometrics or related quantitative field; Masters or Doctorate is a plus.
• Preferred certifications: Databricks Machine Learning Engineer, Databricks Data Engineer, Microsoft Azure AI, SAS Data Scientist, AWS or Google Cloud AI/ML.
• Strong experience developing machine learning models on Databricks.
• Expertise in feature engineering, selection and optimisation, and building reusable enterprise features within Feature Stores.
• Proficiency with Databricks MLflow for model tracking, experimentation and governance.
• Experience creating customer propensity, risk, fraud, retention and optimisation models.
• Solid knowledge of statistics, machine learning and decision science methodologies.
• Experience handling large‑scale customer, behavioural, transactional and digital datasets.
• Ability to design model monitoring and performance measurement frameworks.
• Familiarity with Generative AI, prompt engineering and applied AI use cases.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and business consulting skills.
• Proven track record delivering end‑to‑end data science projects from concept to production.
• Self‑driven and effective in a fast‑paced, outcome‑focused environment.
