Senior Business Analyst

About the role

The Senior Business Analyst will partner with stakeholders to capture, analyse, and translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements. You will drive improvements across processes and systems while ensuring solutions align with strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate interviews, workshops and walkthroughs to gather and document business objectives, constraints and expected outcomes.
• Analyse current business and system processes to identify inefficiencies, gaps, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Produce business analysis artefacts such as requirements documents, user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria and decision records.
• Liaise between business users, subject‑matter experts, development teams, vendors and testers to ensure accurate communication of functional requirements.
• Review functional designs, prototypes and delivered functionality for alignment with requirements.
• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of system integration and development sub‑projects from a business and project‑management perspective.
• Support project evaluation and prioritisation by defining scope, dependencies, assumptions and measurable success criteria.
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing, manage defect clarification and confirm business acceptance.
• Assist with business readiness activities, training needs and implementation planning.
• Conduct post‑implementation reviews and support application teams with escalated queries.

Required profile

• Excellent attention to detail to ensure accurate analysis and documentation.
• Strong facilitation, interviewing, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to manage differing stakeholder perspectives and achieve consensus on requirements and priorities.
• Proactive attitude with the capacity to recommend process and system improvements independently.
