Remuneration & Benefits Consultant

About the role

The Remuneration & Benefits Consultant will support the Business Unit and Segment People Plan by developing and implementing tactical HR people plans that enhance organisational effectiveness. This role partners with senior management and may lead a small team of HR professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with internal design principles and external legal requirements.
• Contribute to the creation of HR frameworks and tools covering recruitment, performance management, compensation, benefits, diversity, onboarding/offboarding, and talent retention.
• Provide specialist advice on policy interpretation, resolve queries, and refer complex issues as needed.
• Deliver complex HR data analyses, identify trends, and generate insights to improve employee engagement and business performance.
• Advise managers on employee‑relations cases, including disciplinary actions and formal hearings.
• Support HR data collection, testing, and management to ensure accurate and relevant information.
• Continuously develop personal capabilities through training, accreditation, and staying updated on technology and regulatory changes.
• Build and maintain effective internal client relationships, delivering high‑quality professional services.

Required profile

• Namibian citizenship.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Commerce or a related field (NQF Level 7).
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant HR experience.
• Strong knowledge of Namibian labour legislation.
