QA Engineer (Full-time) – Windhoek, Namibia

About the role

You will ensure the highest quality of NZZ's digital products in a dynamic, international environment, collaborating with designers and developers to deliver outstanding user experiences while continuously improving testing processes and tools.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, design and execute manual and automated tests for web and app applications.
• Work closely with developers to identify, reproduce and resolve bugs.
• Define quality‑assurance metrics such as bug density and open bug counts.
• Participate in sprint planning, code reviews and product demos.
• Ensure regression, integration and performance testing are consistently implemented.
• Maintain and improve automated testing frameworks and CI/CD integrations.
• Document test cases, processes and outcomes.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in QA or software testing.
• Solid understanding of web and/or app technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and APIs.
• Experience with browser DevTools and web debugging proxies (e.g., Charles).
• Experience with test automation tools (e.g., TestRail, BrowserStack) and writing tests with Playwright.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and agile development tools (JIRA, Confluence).
• Attention to detail, structured thinking and analytical problem‑solving.
• Good English communication skills and Namibian residency or a valid work permit.
