Professional Services Internship – Client Issue Diagnosis

About the role

Join Old Mutual as a Professional Services Intern and support our client‑focused teams in diagnosing issues, delivering solutions, and enhancing service quality. This rotation‑based internship offers exposure to a range of professional services functions under guided supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and analyse client information from interviews and research to identify underlying issues.
• Provide high‑quality customer service, process cases, and resolve complex queries.
• Participate in a community of practice to develop expertise in a defined consulting area.
• Supply advanced product and service information to internal and external stakeholders.
• Extract, organise, and input relevant data into spreadsheets or standard formats.
• Contribute to knowledge management by creating content, best practices, and case studies.
• Support personal capability building through training, coaching, and assessment activities.
• Assist in operational compliance by adhering to organisational policies and regulatory codes.
• Identify and implement simple improvement initiatives and change‑management tasks.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a degree, advanced diploma or postgraduate programme (NQF Level 7 or equivalent).
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize information from multiple sources.
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
• Interest in professional services, client advisory, and continuous learning.
