Portfolio Manager

About the role

The Portfolio Manager will oversee a portfolio of client facilities, ensuring strong performance, effective risk management and high levels of client service. Working closely with business units, the role supports deal execution, monitors credit risk and identifies opportunities for portfolio growth and optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor a portfolio of client facilities to achieve financial performance and asset quality targets.
• Maintain and develop strong client relationships, understand business needs and identify additional opportunities.
• Monitor client financial performance, detect credit risks and ensure compliance with credit terms and covenants.
• Support deal structuring and execution, assess financial impact of restructuring or additional funding requests.
• Prepare accurate portfolio reports, keep client records up‑to‑date and provide performance updates to management.
• Ensure adherence to credit policies, governance frameworks and support audit and compliance processes.

Required profile

• BCom degree with Finance and/or Mathematics, Accounting as a subject.
• At least 4 years of experience in a client‑facing financial role or solution selling.
• Established relationships and a dealer base within the banking or investment‑management sector.
