Portfolio Manager – Administration

About the role

Old Mutual, a leading financial services provider, is seeking a Portfolio Manager – Fund Administration to lead a team of portfolio fund administrators within its Corporate Segment. The role focuses on daily retirement fund administration, ensuring compliance and high‑quality service to trustees, employers and members.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily retirement fund administration operational deliveries.
• Review and submit death claims to the board of trustees.
• Oversee withdrawal, retirement and risk claim payments.
• Make technical administration decisions and provide service to trustees, participating employers, members and intermediaries.
• Track and report performance of portfolio fund administrators on a daily, monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
• Plan, assign and balance work while motivating and coaching team members.
• Maintain and enhance service standards, work quality and compliance with legislative provisions.
• Develop and maintain procedural documentation.
• Guide administrators to achieve operational excellence and manage project implementation.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Namibian citizenship.
• NQF Level 7 qualification, preferably in Commerce or Administration.
• 3–5 years of experience in financial services.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Proven people‑management and leadership experience.
• Excellent organisational, communication and conflict‑handling skills.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining professionalism.
• Passion for customer service and relationship building.
• Understanding of Group Life Assurance products.
