Pickup & Delivery Driver – Windhoek

About the role

Wesbank Transport is seeking a reliable Pickup & Delivery Driver to join its operations in Windhoek. The role involves transporting consignments safely, handling loading and unloading, and ensuring timely deliveries while complying with company and road safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Securely load, transport and unload consignments, reporting any damage or anomalies before departure.
• Operate a hiab crane when required and ensure safe handling of fragile or high‑value items.
• Maintain accurate trip sheets, fuel card usage records and other documentation for payment processing.
• Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections, report defects promptly and keep the vehicle clean.
• Adhere to health, safety and road regulations, including proper refuelling procedures and petty‑cash handling.

Required profile

• Namibian citizenship with a valid Code CE driver’s licence.
• Relevant transport industry experience and a clean driving record.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
• Ability to work independently, pay attention to detail and maintain sober habits.
• Recent police clearance (not older than three months).

Required skills

• Valid Code CE driver’s licence.
• PDP (Dangerous Goods) certification; HAZCHEM certification is an advantage.
• Operation of a hiab crane.
