Payroll Administrator (Head Office, Windhoek)

About the role

The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of employee salaries, benefits, deductions, and related payroll functions. The role ensures compliance with labour laws, tax regulations, and internal financial policies while supporting employee satisfaction and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and process monthly payroll for all staff, including contract and temporary employees, ensuring accuracy of salaries, overtime, bonuses and statutory deductions.
• Maintain compliance with PAYE, SSC, pension, medical aid and other legislative requirements, providing guidance to stakeholders.
• Reconcile payroll accounts, generate payroll journals and produce reports for finance, HR and management.
• Maintain and update employee records in the payroll system, coordinate system upgrades and troubleshoot issues.
• Respond to staff queries on payslips, deductions and leave balances while safeguarding confidentiality.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance or Human Resources (NQF level 6) or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably with Sage 300 or VIP systems.
• Strong attention to detail, integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent numeracy, analytical, organisational and time‑management skills.
• Knowledge of Namibian tax and labour regulations and a valid BE driving licence.
