Operations Manager

About the role

The Operations Manager will lead the OMSIC Operations team, overseeing functions such as account services, transaction processing, loan support, and compliance. This senior role ensures high‑quality, timely service delivery while aligning operational activities with strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the OMSIC Operations team, including assessors, procurement, training, recoveries, litigation, legal and compliance functions.
• Set and maintain standards for operational functionalities and ensure adherence to SOPs.
• Provide strategic insight to OMSIC EXCO and collaborate with other divisions to unlock efficiencies.
• Interpret statistics and monthly reports to drive operational decisions.
• Maintain corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation across all processes.
• Oversee HR administration for the operations team and support system upgrades.
• Lead digital transformation initiatives, system enhancements, and business continuity planning.

Required profile

• Namibian citizen with NQF Level 7 tertiary qualification in finance or legal; NQF Level 8 or CA is an advantage.
• 6‑8 years of relevant experience, including at least five years in a managerial finance role.
• Proven ability to operate at a tactical‑strategic level and deliver on strategic objectives.
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, independently and proactively.
