Officer, Private Fundraising Communications

About the role

The Officer, Private Fundraising Communications will help secure support for the International Rescue Committee’s most ambitious priorities. You will translate complex program strategies into clear, compelling narratives that motivate giving from trusts, foundations, high‑net‑worth individuals, corporate partners, and new business prospects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop high‑quality proposals, reports, and pitch materials that showcase donor impact.
• Serve as the primary writer for Impact at Scale collateral and donor communications.
• Translate complex program strategies into clear, persuasive messaging for private donors.
• Collaborate with the Strategy Unit, program teams, and External Relations colleagues to align messaging with organizational goals.
• Engage and inspire donors across trusts, foundations, high‑net‑worth individuals, corporate partners, and global new‑business prospects.

• Powerful storyteller with the ability to illustrate how evidence‑driven approaches create meaningful change.
• Strategic thinker who can align communications with fundraising objectives.
• Experience working with private donors, foundations, and corporate partners.
