Officer, Monthly Giving

About the role

The Officer, Monthly Giving supports the International Rescue Committee’s sustainer program, a key revenue stream that raises over $20 million annually from more than 50,000 recurring donors. Working within the External Relations team, you will help deepen donor relationships, improve retention, and maximize long‑term value through audience‑led, multichannel campaigns.

Key responsibilities

• Support development and execution of integrated campaigns aimed at increasing sustainer retention and reducing attrition.
• Build and manage donor journeys across email, SMS, telemarketing, direct mail and other channels.
• Monitor performance metrics such as donor retention, lifetime value and attrition, and recommend optimizations.
• Assist with stewardship initiatives, including donor recognition moments, premiums and milestone messaging.
• Collaborate with acquisition, channel and audience teams to convert one‑time donors to monthly giving.

Required profile

• Solutions‑driven, passionate change‑maker with a strong interest in nonprofit fundraising.
• Experience working in cross‑functional teams, including analytics, MarTech and production partners.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Familiarity with multichannel marketing tools (email, SMS, direct mail, telemarketing).
• Understanding of donor retention metrics and lifecycle management.
