Load Master

About the role

The Load Master is responsible for coordinating and controlling the quality of loading and unloading activities for furniture and stock, ensuring compliance with cold‑chain principles and safety standards. This role supports managerial decision‑making by maintaining accurate shipment records and identifying improvement opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Operate specialized warehouse equipment for loading and unloading of refrigerated and non‑refrigerated goods.
• Perform vehicle pre‑load checks, verify correct goods and quantities, and forecast truck loads.
• Plan routes, allocate drivers, and manage dispatch procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of loaded shipments, stock taking, and admin documentation.
• Report any safety, environmental, or compliance concerns promptly.
• Ensure strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures for supply‑chain management.
• Communicate with other departments and support general administrative duties.

Required profile

• Grade 12 certificate (or equivalent qualification).
• Minimum two years of experience in a similar loading or logistics role.
• Namibian citizenship or a valid work permit.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Basic Excel proficiency.
