General Assistant – Retail Operations

About the role

Pepkor Lifestyle is seeking an energetic and reliable General Assistant to support daily store operations. You will help keep the store clean, well‑stocked, and welcoming while delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain daily cleanliness of kitchen, toilets, and store areas to OHASA standards, ensuring aisles and displays are safe.
• Unpack deliveries, stock shelves, conduct stock counts, display promotional posters, apply suite treatments, and report any stock loss or damage.
• Provide outstanding customer service, assist with conflict resolution, and exceed service expectations in line with the store’s service code.
• Prioritise daily workloads, build positive relationships with teammates, and actively pursue personal skill development.

Required profile

• Grade 12 Certificate (NQF Level 4).
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a general worker.
• Understanding of OHASA legislation, retail customer‑service best practices, and store policies.
