Flatbed Driver (2 positions) – Walvis Bay

About the role

Wesbank Transport, a division of FP du Toit Transport, is seeking two experienced flatbed drivers for its Walvis Bay depot. The role involves transporting containers and breakbulk across Namibia, ensuring timely and safe delivery while maintaining accurate documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Transport and deliver containers and breakbulk to customers throughout Namibia, submitting complete documentation on return.
• Collect containers and breakbulk from customers and deliver them without damage, following correct paperwork procedures.
• Conduct pre‑trip vehicle and equipment inspections and report any defects immediately.
• Complete daily tip sheets and MDC logbook entries as instructed.
• Handle cargo responsibly to avoid damage and perform any additional duties reasonably expected of a flatbed driver.

Required profile

• Namibian citizen with a valid Code CE driver’s licence and PDP (Dangerous Goods) certification.
• Grade 12 education and at least five years of relevant transport industry experience.
• Recent police clearance (not older than three months) with no criminal record.
• Hazchem certification is an advantage.
• Excellent driving, interpersonal and communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with high attention to detail and sober habits.
