District Sales and Merchandising Agent

About the role

The District Sales and Merchandising Agent will serve retail, franchise and wholesale customers across the assigned district, acting as the primary point of contact for Vector’s product portfolio. The role focuses on building strong relationships, understanding customer needs and delivering tailored solutions that drive sales and market penetration.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and follow an efficient daily route plan to maximise customer visits.
• Analyse each customer’s business objectives, operational capacity, storage facilities and market trends.
• Match Vector’s principal products to identified gaps or opportunities, ensuring promotional compliance.
• Prepare and present monthly sales planners with revenue targets and new product listings.
• Take orders, launch new products and execute planned promotions with assigned customers.
• Secure necessary resources for product demonstrations, financial tools and marketing materials.
• Provide feedback on competitor activity and market intelligence to supply‑chain and sales teams.
• Maintain and expand the customer base through proactive relationship management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sales, merchandising or field‑based customer engagement.
• Strong analytical mindset to assess micro and macro business environments.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build lasting client relationships.
• Self‑motivated with a results‑driven approach and ability to work independently.
