Diesel Mechanic – Walvis Bay

About the role

Wesbank Transport, a division of FP du Toit Transport (Pty) Ltd, is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to join its team in Walvis Bay. The role involves maintaining and repairing a range of transport equipment in a dynamic, equal‑opportunity environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform service and repairs on reach stackers and other transport equipment.
• Carry out general duties typical of a Diesel Mechanic, ensuring equipment reliability and safety.

Required profile

• Namibian citizen with a valid CE driver’s licence.
• Grade 12 and a qualified Diesel Mechanic (trade test completed) with at least 5 years of experience in transport/automotive industry.
• Excellent knowledge of Mercedes Benz Actros trucks, Steelbro side loaders, Kalmar and Cone‑Crane reach stackers.
• Valid Police Clearance Certificate (not older than 3 months) and sober habits.
• Computer literate with strong diagnostic abilities, able to work under pressure and as part of a team.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, capable of supervising others and complying with Health & Safety legislation.
